Le due statue partono entrambe in processione da due diverse chiese, per poi incontrarsi per un ultimo straziante addio in zona Calvario. La tradizione vuole che le due statue, dopo l’incontro, continuino il loro cammino, sempre separato, visitando anch’esse, come i numerosi fedeli, i cosiddetti sepolcri in alcune chiese cittadine.
